Learn how to increase productivity and eliminate waste in your organization today.

Our Lean Simulation Workshops are one-day, hands-on, interactive learning experiences that deliver a powerful introduction to the Run Improve Grow® philosophy and key lean principles. Our most popular tool for teaching employees how to identify and eliminate waste, our lean simulation training has been attended by more than six thousand people over the past decade.

Designed for associates at all levels of your organization, the Lean Simulation Workshops blend unique interactive classroom sessions with hands-on, critical thinking exercises. Attendees earn .7 CEUs (Continuing Education Units). More importantly, attendees leave with the ability to put proven lean techniques into practice in their individual work areas and to drive immediate results across your organization.

LABOR-BASED LEAN SIMULATION

Designed specifically for organizations with labor-heavy assembly operations, such as automotive plants, our Labor-Based Lean Simulation focuses on key lean principles that improve productivity and eliminate waste. Participants have the chance to practice lean techniques on a simulated shop floor. Tools and concepts learned include:

  • 5s
  • Takt Time
  • Standard Work
  • One-piece Flow
  • Visual Management
  • The Kaizen Process
  • Reducing Cycle & Lead Times
  • Identifying & Eliminating Waste
  • Differentiate Between Push & Pull Systems
  • Understanding the Kanban Inventory System

ASSET-BASED LEAN SIMULATION

For operations like CNC machine shops or injection molding companies that rely more heavily on equipment than labor, our Asset-Based Lean Simulation workshop is designed to show how lean principles apply in your unique setting. Participants get hands-on practice applying lean techniques including:

  • 5s
  • Takt Time
  • Standard Work
  • One-piece Flow
  • Visual Management
  • The Kaizen Process
  • Reducing Cycle & Lead Times
  • Identifying & Eliminating Waste
  • Differentiate Between Push & Pull Systems
  • Understanding the Kanban Inventory System

SIOP WORKSHOP

The SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) workshop session provides participants with an introduction to the benefits of a robust SIOP process through a combination of classroom and hands-on learning experiences. We will introduce our SIOP-Sync process, which provides an adaptable and robust framework to allow the Demand (Sales/Forecasting) and Supply (Operations/Purchasing/Inventory) functions to interface in a consistent and systematic way to improve planning and execution. Participants are asked to share best practices taking place in their own organizations, or experiences from past businesses or industries.
